"Come celebrate the grand seasonal opening of our Barnyard Pumpkin Patch at Harbes Farm & Vineyard’s Annual Pumpkin Festival, a two-day weekend salute to Fall at our Mattituck Farm! Please join us Saturday, September 29 & Sunday, September 30 from 10am-6pm.
Our beautiful 7-acre “u-pick” Barnyard Pumpkin Patch offers many varieties of on-the-vine pumpkins and gourds to choose from. In the Pumpkin Patch there’s also concession foods and Harbes Vineyard wines for guests to enjoy as well as live musical entertainment. The Barnyard Pumpkin Patch is adjacent to Harbes Barnyard Adventure and features its own parking area (please GPS 25 Sound Avenue, Mattituck).
In our central courtyard area Farmer Fred will be hosting FREE donut eating contests for children 12 and under twice daily. He’ll also be hosting all kinds of Autumn games for the kids as well! There will be pumpkin rolling competitions, potato sack races, tug of war, and you won’t want to miss our incredibly fun scarecrow dress-up relays!
If it’s music you love we’ll be having our famous Singing Hayrides! Tour our 100-acre farm as you’re serenaded by beautiful singing. There will also be FREE LIVE MUSIC available to enjoy in the courtyard/picnic area. Acoustic guitarist and vocalist Steve Lake will be performing on Saturday from 1-5pm. Charles Woodcheke is playing Sunday from 1-5pm. Charles performs a wide range of musical genres including country, blues, rock and R&B.
While you’re here visit Harbes Barnyard Adventure for hours of family fun! Harbes Barnyard Adventure is an 8-acre, family-friendly experience for all ages. The Barnyard includes our famous pig races and hosted children’s activities with Farmer Fred throughout the day. There’s also farm animals, our very popular “Jumbo Jumpers” bounce pillows, a Sports Zone with baseball, football and basketball tossing games, “Lil’ Farmers PlayLand” filled with lots of fun activities for preschoolers, a trike track, musical chicken show, goat mountain slide, goat bridge, and much more. Included in the Fall admission is our 2-acre Barnyard Corn Maze!
Harbes Wine Barn, located behind the main farmstand, is a wine lover’s dream! In our 100-year-old renovated potato barn, we offer tastings of our award-winning wines and wine by the glass or bottle. There’s a rustic ambiance inside or you can enjoy your wine outside under an umbrella on our patio. Guests can also enjoy their wine in the courtyard while being entertained by our live musical performer.
