"Celebrate the sweetest festival in town at Harbes Farm & Vineyard’s Annual Watermelon Festival on Saturday, August 25 & Sunday, August 26, from 10am-7pm! Enjoy our farm fresh watermelon and cap off your summer with this fun two-day weekend event.
You can’t miss participating in one of our FREE fun-filled watermelon eating contests for all ages! Farmer Fred will be emceeing what has become one of Harbes Farm & Vineyard’s most anticipated summer events. We’ll be holding three contests daily in our courtyard area. Seating is limited so be sure to arrive early!
Farmer Fred will be hosting exciting watermelon games for the kids throughout the day! They’ll have tons of fun taking part in our watermelon rolling races and seed spitting challenges. Mom and dad will have fun cheering them on.
FREE LIVE MUSIC will be available to enjoy in our courtyard/picnic area both days from 1-5pm. Singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist Rob Bruey will be playing on Saturday. We’ll have the popular Como Brothers returning on Sunday. These talented singer-songwriters draw influence from pop, rock, and blues originating from a love for acts such as The Beatles. Relax and enjoy their energetic and heartfelt harmonies.
While you’re here you can visit Harbes Barnyard Adventure for hours of family fun! Harbes Barnyard Adventure is an 8-acre, family-friendly experience for all ages. The Barnyard includes a Singing Hayride with “Country” Jen Kane touring our 100-acre farm, our famous pig races and hosted children’s activities with Farmer Fred throughout the day. There’s also farm animals, our very popular “Jumbo Jumpers” bounce pillows, a Sports Zone with baseball, football and basketball tossing games, “Lil’ Farmers PlayLand” filled with lots of fun activities for preschoolers, a trike track, musical chicken show, goat mountain slide, goat bridge, and much more.
Harbes Wine Barn, located behind the main farmstand, is a wine lover’s oasis! In our 100 year-old renovated potato barn, we offer tastings of our award-winning wines and or wine by the glass or bottle. There’s a rustic ambiance inside or you can enjoy your wine outside under an umbrella on our patio.
There’s always lots to do and see at Harbes Farm & Vineyard so come and cool off during the dog days of summer with a big slice of fresh picked watermelon!
