7th annual Health and Wellness Fest on April 16th at the Earl L. Vandermeulen High School, located at 350 Old Post Road in Port Jefferson, from 9 am-1:00 pm. Free and open to the public.
The purpose of the Fest is to promote good health to all in the greater Port Jefferson area with important information you require to plan for and meet your health and wellness needs. Over 60 health and wellness professionals will be participating including our three major local hospitals, St. Charles, John T. Mather, and Stony Brook Medicine.
There will be a mini-farmers market specializing in organic and novel produce. Vegetables and fruits will be available for sale to attendees encouraging healthy eating and cooking.
New this year there will be more animal related vendors, therapy dogs, companion animals, and SCPD Canines. More food and entertainment and a more festive atmosphere celebrating health & wellness! In addition St. Charles Hospital Executive Chef and staff will be providing FREE make your own healthy breakfast, lunch & dessert, ‘Come dine with St. Charles Hospital’.
This year again in cooperation with the Port Jefferson Royal Educational Foundation there will be 2K ‘fun-run’ finishing at the Fest. All runners and participants will be invited into the gym lobby for FREE bottled water.
