Description

Temple Israel, Lawrence cordially invites you to attend the Virtual talk "A Land of Milk and Mufletta: What Israeli Food says about Israeli Culture," with Joel Haber, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. Israeli chefs have recently conquered the culinary world, but what about all those foods they left behind at home? What do these dishes say about Israel itself? From falafel to petitim, meurav Yerushalmi to muffleta, Joel will reveal the culture behind the distinctive foods that make Israel so deliciously...Israeli.

Joel Haber, licensed tour guide, grew up in New Jersey, lived for many years in Manhattan and Los Angeles, and moved to Israel in March, 2009. Joel lives in Jerusalem and works as a licensed tour guide all over Israel. He also researches Jewish food and is writing a book on the subject, as well as blogging and writing freelance articles on the topic.

This event is open to the public and Free of charge. Please contact Alan at alan.freedman@tilny.org for the Zoom webinar link.
