The Alzheimer's Foundation of America will host a free "A to Z" lecture series in Commack on October 3rd. Long Islanders will be able to learn all about Alzheimer's disease, from signs and symptoms of the disease to improving communication, care options, and available resources to help you and your loved one.
There are more than 5 million American living with Alzheimer's disease, including more than 50,000 Long Islanders. The lecture series will help families be prepared if Alzheimer's disease enters their lives and they will learn proper steps to care for their loved ones.
New York State licensed social workers who attend the program are eligible to receive two continuing education contact hours free of charge.
