Description

See the evolution of the motorcycle from a restored 1912 Indian TT Racer (featured in “American Pickers” and pictured here with Creator and Star, Mike Wolf)  to a 1975 Ducati 750 Sport from 20th Century Cycles at Ward Melville Heritage Organization’s summer exhibit, “America’s Love Affair with the Motorcycle…Continues” opening July 12.

With over 30 bikes on display as well as a host of memorabilia, an outdoor car showcase, speakers, artwork and sculptures, visitors are sure to enjoy a memorable experience this summer. Included in the exhibit will be bikes from the private collection of Joe Buzzetta such as a 1977 Moto Guzzi Le Mans 850 and a 1928 restored BMW R52 from The Nettesheim Museum.  In addition to the 1975 Ducati (pictured), a 1972 Honda CB 500 K1, also from 20th Century Cycles, will be on exhibit as well.

The exhibit runs through September 7 and additional events include speakers on such topics as “Bio Diesel Bikes” with  John Petsche, July 18th; “Motorcycle Brands and Emblems” with Steve Linden, July 25th and “Motorcycles and Movies” with  Jeffrey James, August 8th.
