Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA) will present its annual High School Juried Art Show from Sunday, April 15th through Sunday, April 22nd. The annual invitational show is open to all local high schools in the school districts in the area. Participating high schools include Sayville, Sachem North, Sachem East, Connetquot, Bellport, Longwood, William Floyd, and Patchogue-Medford. Exceptional art works in all media receive ribbon awards including Best in Show. The Jacqueline Palmer Scholarship Award is given to a graduating senior who plans to pursue further art education at a college level.
The show opens on Sunday, April 15th with a reception for students, parents, teachers and the public from 1 to 4 PM. The BAFFA Art Gallery is at 47 Gillette Avenue in Sayville. Gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 PM and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
