An icon of WWII, the Boeing B-29 Super Fortress retruns to the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport form Wednesday June 27th through Sunday July 1st. FIFI will be open to the public for tours during the week and will be offering flight experiences on the weekend. The B-29 is accompanied by "Bucket of Bolts", a vintage Beech C-45 twin engine transport. Flights will be available on the C-4 and AAM's T-6 Texan and Waco biplane all week. '
This is an opportunity to see an aviation legend first hand. There are only two B-29s flying in the world today, The huge bombers were used exclusively in the Pacific to attack the Japanse mainland. It was a B-29 that dropped the first atomic bomb that led to the end of WWII.
