"SAC is pleased to partner with South Fork Natural History Museum for two special birding tours with Executive Director Frank Quevedo in conjunction with the exhibition on view, National Geographic Photo Ark by Joel Sartore.
Program Leader: Frank Quevedo, Executive Director, South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO), Cosponsored with Friends of the Long Pond Nature Center
The woods, fields, wetlands and surface waters of the Long Pond Greenbelt provide nesting, foraging, and resting habitat for a rich diversity of avian life. More than 125 species of birds regularly use the Greenbelt for all or part of the year. Join us, as Frank presents a power point presentation on the various bird species found in this magnificent habitat. The talk will be followed by a leisurely walk from the nature center down to Crooked Pond to observe some bird life. Bring your binoculars!
This is a free program. Call 631.537.9735 to make your reservation."
