Date & Time
Patchogue-Medford Library, in partnership with the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, presents an evening with Cheryl Pierson Cuccio, author of the memoir Incest, Murder, and a Miracle on April 3, 2019 at 7 pm in the theatre lobby, through the “Library in the Lobby” partnership.
In 1986, 16 year old Cheryl Pierson hired a classmate to kill her father after years of abuse. In her memoir, Cheryl, now Cheryl Pierson Cuccio details the aftermath of the crime and how she put her life back together. She hopes her book will give survivors of abuse the strength they need to come forward. “It’s not an easy life to live when you’ve endured that pain,” says Cuccio. “I just want people who have gone through abuse to know that it doesn’t ruin your life.”
Published in 2016, Incest, Murder, and a Miracle was the recipient of the 2017 International Book Award and selected as a semi-finalist for the 2017 Kindle Book Award. Additionally, the author has been featured on the cover of People Magazine and in television appearances on Investigation Discovery and Inside Edition.
Followed by a Q&A and book signing, this event is free & open to the public.
