In this workshop we will work to create the illusion of three-dimensionality and a sense of reality, learning the basic techniques to accurately render different botanical shapes, by way of tonal drawing executed in monochrome. We will be using graphite pencils and a single dark colored pencil, varying the tones to describe form, depth of space, and volume. All levels welcome
Bring: 3 good quality graphite pencils 2H, HB & 2B, vinyl eraser, kneaded-eraser, sharpener, one or two colored pencils in dark blue, dark brown, dark green, or a deep red, and good quality drawing or sketch paper. Recommended: a portable lamp.
