When the pace of life is fast and our minds and bodies are always on the go, we need to take time to slow down and recharge. Restorative yoga balances out a hectic lifestyle and has an enormous capacity to heal physical and mental symptoms that are so often brought on by stress.
Restorative yoga is a deeply meditative and relaxing practice that is easily accessible by everyone. The practice consists of holding seated and lying poses, fully supported with props, for 5-10 minutes in order to allow the body to fully absorb the physical and energetic benefits of the pose.
Considered a “passive” practice, yet the benefits of restorative yoga are impressive: relieve stress, boost immune system, facilitate healing, enhance mood, still the mind, increase flexibility, balance the nervous system and sleep better.
