"Let's go hiking across the fields and into the woods of this magnificent park; if terrain is snowy or icy, we will stick to the plowed paved paths, but at least we can get in some miles and fresh air; rain or heavy snow cancels, cold does not; bring water and snack; meet in parking lot near the booth; from NY 25 go north on Woodbury Rd,. which becomes West Neck Rd. after crossing NY 25A in Huntington; proceed about 6 miles, entrance to park is on the left; from the east take NY 110 north to NY 25A in Huntington, turn left to West Neck Rd., turn right and go 6 miles to entrance on left."
