Scattered power outages are expected. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph, or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Use extra caution. , "Special Statement" ...Very slippery conditions through tonight... temperatures will plummet through tonight well below freezing. As these temperatures fall, plenty of residual moisture and leftover standing water on area roads will freeze, or remain frozen. This will lead to areas of black ice. Description

Join us as we explore the beautiful, spacious terrain of Caumsett State Park; this is a Mindfulness Hike wherein we will expand our awareness in the following areas: team building, hiking with a balanced mind and body, peaceful approaches to problem solving;

bring water and snacks; severe weather cancels; meet in parking lot near the booth; from NY 25 take Woodbury Rd. north, which becomes West Neck Rd. after crossing NY 25A; continue north about 6 miles to park entrance on left; from the east take NY 110 north, go left (west) on NY 25A to West Neck Rd., make right and go approx. 6 miles to entrance on left; parking fee, or free with Empire Passport.
