Weather permitting, I plan to take Fisherman's Drive up to the beach and hike the beach in both directions; if too cold or windy we'll stick to the forest trails; if the footing is not good we will stick to the paved path; rain or heavy snow cancels; bring water and snack; meet in parking lot near the booth; from NY 25 go north on Woodbury Rd., which becomes West Neck Rd. after crossing 25A in Huntington; proceed about 6 miles, entrance to park is on the left; from the east take NY 110 north to 25A in Huntington, turn left to West Neck Rd., turn right and go 6 miles to entrance on left.
