"Let’s go hiking across the fields and into the woods of this magnificent park; if terrain is snowy or icy we will stick to the plowed paved paths, but at least we can get in some miles and fresh air; from NY 25 go north on Woodbury Rd., which becomes West Neck Rd. after crossing NY 25A; continue approx. 6 miles to park entrance on left; from the east take NY 110 north to NY 25A in Huntington (Main St.); go left on 25A to West Neck Rd., then right and follow it to park; meet in lot near entrance; bring water and snack; rain or heavy snow cancels, cold weather does not."
