A park volunteer will discuss all aspects of the Great Backyard Bird Count and eBird, provide information about bird counts you can participate in, and how you can contribute to citizen science from home all year long. After a short indoor presentation at the Fresnel Lens Building, head outdoors to document and count birds around the historic Fire Island Lighthouse. This is a perfect opportunity to contribute to science and bird conservation efforts. Bring binoculars if you have them and dress for the weather.
