Date & Time
Join us on March 3rd (1-3PM) where John Aldridge and Anthony Sosinki will tell their incredible story in a memoir: A Speck in the Sea: A Story of Survival and Rescue (Hachette Books). A Speck in the Sea intertwines Aldridge’s wrenching first-person account of his struggle in the sea along with Sosinski’s narration of the rescue operation, hour by tormented hour. Readers will follow as Aldridge flies overboard in the middle of the night and candidly assesses his grim situation after seeing his boat, on autopilot, recede out of sight.
Joining Aldridge and Sosinski will be fisherwoman Sarah Broadwell, who was part of the rescue mission as well as a former deck hand on their boat when she first began fishing. Sarah was part of the Montauk fishing fleet’s rescue efforts when fisherman John Aldridge fell overboard in July 2013.
