Description

"Long Island Photo Gallery, together with Long Island Game Farm - Wildlife Park & Children's Zoo, would like to invite you to join in a Close Encounters Private Tour, Charity Photo Shoot, & Small Plate Buffet on Saturday, September 20th, 2020 from 2:30 pm - 5:00pm.

If you love to photograph exotic animals but have been unable to get impactful shots due to subject distance and/or distracting backgrounds this event is custom made for you. Long Island Photo Gallery and Long Island Game Farm - Wildlife Park & Children's Zoo have teamed up to provide a truly unique photography opportunity. The Game Farm is home to some very interesting residents and their staff will guide us and provide exclusive, up close, encounters with a number of unique animals. We will be divided up into small groups and escorted into restricted enclosures for unparalleled photo opportunities. Where possible, Long Island Game Farm will also setup backdrops to allow us to shoot while avoiding cages in our shots. You will have an enjoyable afternoon and leave with dozens of impactful photos while at the same time assist a family-run, Long Island institution heading towards it’s 50th anniversary.

The Long Island Game Farm was founded in 1970 by Stanley and Diane Novak and is located on 25 acres of land off exit 70 on the Long Island Expressway in Manorville, New York. The Long Island Game Farm Wildlife Park features dozens of animals, including an 18-foot giraffe, red kangaroos, kinkajous, cougars, Barbados sheep, peacocks, and the only lemurs born and bred on Long Island. The animal collections include both exotic and indigenous breeds along with various breeds of monkeys, buffalo, colorful parrots, zebra, aoudads, camels, ostrich, alligator, and much more.

Funds raised from this unique opportunity will go towards habitat improvements that will directly benefit the animals."
