This hike is mainly for those who are looking for an easier paced, mostly flat, but still interesting outing; we will be going up to the fish hatchery and then along the river to Bunce's Bridge and back; bring water and snack; meet in the Main entrance parking lot on the north side of NY 27; from the west take NY 27 Exit 47A, Oakdale-Bohemia Rd.; follow signs for - turn for park; from the east follow NY27 to park entrance on the right; heavy rain cancels; parking fee, or free with Empire Passport; perhaps lunch after at Bayard Cutting Arboretum.
