As temperatures tonight fall back to below zero well inland and into the single digits most elsewhere, wind chills will remain at least a few degrees colder as brisk northwest winds take some time to diminish. Wind chills will be mostly 5 to 10 below zero, but may reach 15 below in a few inland spots, mainly in the higher elevations. Temperatures and wind chills will both moderate by Tuesday afternoon as the core of the Arctic air mass bringing US this cold begins to slide east. Description

Take a break from the holiday rush and join old and new friends at the Museum’s annual Cookie Exchange now featuring this year’s host Elizabeth Yastrzemski. Elizabeth Yastrzemski, local baker, gardener and floral designer, will demonstrate “Steps Toward Making Better Sugar Cookies”. After the half hour demonstration, swap dozens of festively decorated, homemade cookies from scratch - no mixes. Please bring 2 to 3 dozen cookies for swapping. Bring copies of your recipes, a tray to display your cookies and a container to take swapped cookies home. Refreshments will be served.
