Date & Time
Richard Barons, senior curator at the East Hampton Historical Society, will bring his expertise to the museum and do some detective work, identifying the features that make a piece of furniture distinctly a Dominy. He will focus on pieces in the museum’s collection and will bring other examples of furniture crafted by the celebrated artisans of the Dominy family, who were active from the height of the handcraft period in America until the time of its rapid decline in about 1840. Co-sponsored with the Rogers Memorial Library.
