Description

"Guided tour with historian Beverly Tyler explores the history of shipbuilding in Setauket, NY. Guests will learn about shipbuilders, ship captains, and families prominent in Setauket’s maritime history.  Discover how the shipbuilding industry influenced the development of roads and homes on Dyers Neck. This tour will be conducted at low tide so that the bones of the schooners will be uncovered in Scott’s Cove. This Three Village Historical Society walking tour is designed for students, families, and adults. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start time listed to ensure a prompt start. Tour lasts approximately one and one half hours.

All tours are $15 ($10 for TVHS members).  Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.  No reservations are necessary. Tour begins at 2pm, unless otherwise noted.

Location: Tours leave from the Setauket Dock, Shore Road, East Setauket

Directions: From 25A in Setauket, turn north on Shore Road (Se-Port Deli is at the corner of Shore Rd. and 25A).  The Setauket Dock is straight ahead where the road turns to the right.  GPS users can enter 58 Shore Road, East Setauket for directions.
