In this workshop, students will explore the ancient art of encaustic painting. The class will begin with a lecture on the history of the medium, exploring its origins and discussing contemporary encaustic artists. Following the lecture, participants will learn a step-by-step approach to making encaustic medium and using photos, papers and other collage materials, they will learn various techniques to create a unique work of art.
