"Peconic Landing is excited to announce it will be hosting its annual End of Summer Celebration and Fireworks Show, open to the greater community. FREE to all on Labor Day weekend, the much-anticipated event attracts hundreds of guests each year, designed to bring Peconic Landing members and staff together with neighbors from the East End community. It serves as a thank you for the community’s support throughout the year.
“A melding of members, neighbors, and classical music makes this a highlight event for everyone involved,” said Robert J. Syron, President and CEO of Peconic Landing. “We invite all of our neighbors to join us for what is always an incredible fireworks show.”
Join us on Sunday, September 2 at 7 p.m. for a live performance by the forty-member Atlantic Wind Symphony, which is comprised of musicians from across Long Island. The performance will take place on the patio at Brecknock Hall and feature popular songs by George Gershwin, John Philip Sousa as well as well-known Broadway hits. It will also include a salute to Veterans and current service members. It will also recognize police and volunteer fire officials. The performance is sponsored by the Brecknock Hall Foundation, which has a mission of maintaining the beautification and preservation of the historic mansion and landmark of North Fork history.
Fireworks will take off about 8:15, launched over Peconic Landing’s community pond. Guests are asked to bring a blanket and chairs to make the most of the event. The 20-minute fireworks show is sponsored by Peconic Landing. A rain date is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4 at 7 p.m. Brecknock Hall is located at One Brecknock Road in Greenport.
