Families Walk for Hope

Please join us on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 8 am, when Mather Hospital will host the 24^th Annual Families Walk for Hope.  More than 600 people will be participating to raise funds for the Fortunato Breast Health Center and breast cancer treatment.

We all know someone who has been touched by breast cancer.  The Fortunato Breast Health Center at Mather Hospital has provided state-of-the-art breast health screenings, counseling and education to tens of thousands of Long Islanders.  In addition, the center provides an array of clinical services including ultrasound guided cyst aspirations, core needle biopsies and stereotactic needle biopsies.

The Fortunato Breast Health Center has a three-year, full accreditation designation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Center (NAPBC), one of only seven centers in New York State and one of only four on Long Island to have earned this prestigious distinction..  This recognition is given only to those centers that have voluntarily committed to providing the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous review of their performance.
