For the first time in over 300 years, the Village of East Hampton will have a Fall Festival in Herrick Park! There will be 60 booths set up in the downtown park on Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at which local artists, shopkeepers and 20 non-profits can display their wares and information. Dance or listen to live music all day – from bluegrass to blues. Headline acts include Gene Casey and the Lonesharks and Inda Eaton. Experience a live community mural painting project, a YMCA sponsored Kidzone, jumping house, and climbing wall; as well as hands-on science and art projects sponsored by the East End Children’s Museum in the gazebo.
Magic, Trapeze, Pumpkin Patch and Costume Parade!
Look for a magic show from MagicSteve, an aerial trapeze display from artist Robin Lynch, a pumpkin carving contest, a costume parade at noon (sponsored by Eleanor Whitmore Childhood Center in East Hampton) and food and drink. Sponsored by the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce, Ringel states, “It’s a true community event to celebrate Fall and the harvest season, as well as to showcase our wonderful businesses and organizations.” Village eateries will be open all day and offering specials.
