Kadampa Kids Day Camp will offer a daily program that will teach children practical lessons such as remembering the kindness of others, the value of helping others, what it means to be a protector to the protector-less, how to cherish our precious Dharma Center and garden, as well as provide campers with an introduction to some traditional Buddhist ritual practices (the meaning of mantras, how to make mala prayer beads and how to use our imaginations to make mandala offerings). Each child will receive a T-shirt and lunch everyday!
Our staff of instructors and counselors will start each day having campers help make shrine offerings before engaging in a brief breathing meditation practice. There will be a daily lesson, activity, time for play/fun and some refreshments.
