Date & Time
"Celebrate First Friday at The Heckscher Museum of Art! Explore the Museum during FREE extended hours, 5 - 8:30 pm. Join us for a live performance by Caroline Doctorow beginning at 7 pm.
For her performance, Ms. Doctorow concentrates on the folk music of the early ’60s, presenting the work of important American folk songwriters and performers such as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Donovan, Richard and Mimi Fariña, Pete Seeger, and others. She also performs her original compositions and discusses the song-writing process and describes what it was like growing up in a literary household. This program — through song — offers the listener a unique musical perspective of this significant period in our country’s history."
