This year, GingerBread Lane celebrates its 21st season with its 30th village. The new circular-format village weighs 1.5 tons and includes an estimated 3000 pounds of icing, 600 lbs. of candy from 14 countries, and 600 pounds of gingerbread dough. It comprises 1000 gingerbread houses, 95 trees, 6 gingerbread cable cars, 5 gingerbread train cars, an underground candy subway station, a skating rink, candy trees, sugar signage and more. Newest additions include additional New York City favorites: bridges, more cable cars, newsstands, the S.C. Kringle & Co. department store guarded by GBL nutcrackers; CandyCorn Commons featuring 10 varieties of candy corn; and other surprises. While layout and composition change yearly, GingerBread Lane always includes Eggnog Bay, Gum Drop Row, Peppermint Central Park, Candy Cane Place, and Toffee Boulevard.
