The Great South Bay Audubon Society general meeting welcomes one of our favorite presenters, Chris Paparo and his program about Falconry on Long Island.
The sport of falconry has a rich history throughout the world. It involves a dedicated and knowledgeable falconer, and a healthy, well-trained raptor working together as a team. Come meet Chris Paparo and his Red-tailed Hawk as he talks about the instincts of raptors, how they are trained and what it takes to be a falconer. Chris promises to deliver another fascinating program.
Bring a friend to join us for this great program and free refreshments. Our bird experts will be on hand to answer any questions, discuss equipment, and share their favorite birding spots. The meeting will be held at the main house, Connetquot River State Park and Preserve, Sunrise Highway, Oakdale. The program is free and open to the public. For more information visit our website at, www.gsbas.org or call 631.563.7716
