Description

The "happiness skills" associated with positive psychology are the same skills developed through the games and exercises used in improvisation and are extremely important tools for life. Improvisation games and exercises are designed to generate a positive emotional state and research shows that we can use that expansive, creative energy to work through challenges, shift gears, think under pressure and solve problems in creative ways. This workshop will demonstrate ways to develop these skills and discuss ways that clinicians, educators and human service professionals who work to help people grow, change and learn can apply them in practice.

The games and exercises used in this workshop can be adapted for work with any age group and a variety of applications will be discussed.
