It’s the 30th Anniversary Season of Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck. As part of our season-long festivities, we’ll be holding Harbes Annual Watermelon Festival on Saturday, August 10 & Sunday, August 11, from 10am-7pm! Celebrate the sweetest festival in town and enjoy our farm fresh watermelon.
You can’t miss participating in one of our FREE fun-filled watermelon eating contests for all ages! We’ll be hosting what has become one of Harbes Family Farm’s most anticipated summer events. We’ll be holding three contests daily in our courtyard area. Seating is limited so be sure to arrive early!
There will also be exciting watermelon games for the kids throughout the day! They’ll have tons of fun taking part in watermelon rolling races. Mom and dad will have fun cheering them on.
FREE LIVE MUSIC will be available to enjoy in our courtyard/picnic area both days from 1-5pm. Singer-songwriter Glenn Jochum is scheduled to play on Saturday. Glenn easily transitions from folk to soul to rock to blues to country, delivering lyrics that come straight from the heart. Singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist Robert Bruey is scheduled for Sunday.
While you’re here you can visit Harbes Barnyard Adventure for hours of family fun! Harbes Barnyard Adventure is an 8-acre, family-friendly experience for all ages. The Barnyard includes a Singing Hayride tour of our 100-acre farm, our famous pig races and hosted children’s activities throughout the day. There are also farm animals, our very popular “Jumbo Jumpers” bounce pillows, a Sports Zone with baseball, football and basketball tossing games, “Lil’ Farmers PlayLand” filled with lots of fun activities for preschoolers, a trike track, and our musical animatronic chicken show. We’ll also be debuting some exciting new attractions for 2019!
There’s a rustic ambiance inside or you can enjoy your wine outside under an umbrella on our patio. There’s always lots to do and see at Harbes Family Farm so come and cool off during the dog days of summer with a big slice of freshly picked watermelon!
