Join us for an amazing benefit concert for Puerto Rico featuring some of Long Island’s best musicians, including The Counterclockwise Ensemble, Gathering Time, The Queazles, Toby Tobias, Toby Walker, and The Folk Goddesses. 100% of all tickets sales and contributions will go to The Hispanic Federation to aid Puerto Rico.
Help the people of Puerto Rico while enjoying music from some of Long Island’s best musicians! This past summer’s devastating hurricanes and earthquakes impacted so many areas in our hemisphere: TX, FL, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands. But none were so devastated as Puerto Rico. The island lost all power everywhere; flooding and collapsed buildings destroyed what didn’t get blown away. Contaminated water has filled the streets, and sanitation, food, power, fuel and more are scarce. Huntington resident and singer-songwriter Patricia Shih is producing a concert to raise funds for Puerto Rico. There will also be a food, art, goods and services sale at drastically reduced prices, with all proceeds going to HF. All the performing artists will also have their merchandise for sale.
A Needed-Items collection at the cinema will be ongoing from now until shortly after the concert date. Suggested donations are: adult and baby diapers, wipes, Ensure, Pediasure, batteries, food, water, insect repellent, tools, baby bottles, and formula. No glass bottles or other bottles that can open or break open
