"The Long Pond Greenbelt encompasses a magnificent 1,100-acre expanse of interconnected ponds, woods, and wetlands that stretches six miles from Ligonee Brook and Otter Pond in Sag Harbor south to Sagaponack Pond and the Atlantic Shore in Sagaponack. Spectacular for its wealth of rare plants, animals, and ecological communities, the Greenbelt is widely recognized as one of the most ecologically significant areas in all of New York State. Join Chip for this hike and experience what nature has to offer us in the winter. This program is for all ages.
Please note that, as mandated by the latest State Executive Order regarding COVID-19 safety precautions, our outdoor nature walks and programs will at all times follow stringent six-feet distancing separation protocols required by the Department of Health for the safety of our participants and environmental educators. We will provide masks and gloves for all attendees.
