Tues., May 12th, The Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host John Hanc, author of "Jones Beach, An Illustrated History". Jones Beach will be brought to life through storytelling, slides and personalities who discovered and made Jones Beach the greatest public recreational space of its kind. Come and learn about a place we know well but still has stories to tell. Mr. Hanc, former writer at Newsday, wrote the cover story for the LI Life section on the beach's 90th anniversary.
