Fundraiser Chinese Auction for Kara Hirsch
Diagnosed earlier this year with Metastasized Ewing Sarcoma.
In early January of this year, Kara, who is 19, was diagnosed with Metastasized Ewing Sarcoma. At the time of her diagnosis, she was a full time student at St. Joseph's College and she carried a 4.0 GPA. She was also working 30 hours a week at KinderCare and was loved by the staff and the children she cared for. She is currently undergoing a grueling chemotherapy routine that will last more than a year. She will also have to undergo various surgeries and radiation treatments. Because of the various chemotherapy cycles she must endure, she is no longer working, and she has taken a medical leave from college. She is extremely courageous and her strength and perseverance is inspiring to all who know her.
