Valentine’s Day invites us to celebrate love, but it does not require two to commemorate it. We can honor the day even if we are not in a “significant” relationship. The degree and intensity to which we are loved depends upon our own capacity to love. The more we love ourselves, the greater our capacity. Learning to love ourselves is the first, and most important, step to giving to and receiving love from another. Learning to love ourselves does not always come easily or naturally. Motivational speaker Constance Hallinan Lagan discusses steps we can take and windows we can open that will enable us to appreciate the beauty, the wisdom, the love within. True and lasting love begins with one. Even the most loving, long-term relationship is enhanced when partners learn to love themselves as well as the other. Whether currently in a relationship or not, this program is for you! Topics include both abstract and analytical thinking, planning and implementing. The abstract includes discarding masks and utilizing positive self-talk. The analytical includes brainstorming and goal setting. The seminar concludes with a guided visualization meditation.
