The 17th Annual Super Bowl Splash benefiting Make-A-Wish Metro New York is held in honor and loving memory of young Paulie Bradley, who passed away at the age of 4 before being able to receive his wish.
Through their annual, community-driven Super Bowl Splash, the Long Beach Polar Bears helped to make hundreds of heartfelt wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions come true by raising over $4.8 million since 2000.
Over the past 16 years, the event has attracted thousands of caring and daring people to jump into the ocean for a good cause. Former wish kids, Make-A-Wish volunteers, staff and board members are signed up to join the jump.
During last year’s Super Bowl Splash over 10,000 people were on the beach and $528,000 was raised to turn kids’ wishes into magical reality.
