The Transgender Resource Center of Long Island is proud to announce the first annual Long Island Equality March and LGBTQIA Pride Picnic. Happening in Sayville, New York on Saturday June 16, 2018, rain or shine, so save the date!
We will gather at the Long Island Rail Road parking lot, located at Depot St. and Green Ave. across from the Sayville train station at 11:30am, where all registered participants must check in with a representative from TRCLI. Cars wishing to park must enter from Green St.
Line up for the March will begin at 12:30pm and we will step off at 1:00pm. We will be marching to the Common Ground at Rotary Park in Sayville, where our Pride Picnic will take place. We will have community organizations from both Nassau and Suffolk County along with craft vendors, face painting, and local food vendors serving hot food and cold drinks. The south side of the park will be a reserved picnic area. So come eat, socialize, and show off your Long Island Pride, and don’t forget to bring your picnic blanket or lawn chairs.
If you are unable to or prefer not to march, you can view the march on Railroad Avenue and meet us in the park. The event concludes at 6:00pm.
