Description

Conscience Point is known to be the original meeting place of the Shinnecock and English settlers of Southampton in June of 1640. Now you can join us for a paddling tour led by Chenae Bullock of Moskehtu Consulting who will take us on a journey through history to cover oral Indigenous history, Indigenous plant identification, indigenous lifeways, and Indigenous songs. Participants can bring their own canoe or kayak, or at check out you can opt to rent a kayak provided by East End Explorer. If bringing your own vessel, please also bring your own paddles and life vests and everyone please bring sunscreen, hats, etc. Paddlers are asked to arrive by 8:15am so that vessels can be offloaded and everyone can be ready to hit the water at 9am
