Former New York Daily News columnist Hugh Wyatt will give a talk about how yoga and Buddhism have radically transformed American religion and culture, and will focus on how spirituality is replacing the word religion in modern times. Jazz musicians Sonny Rollins and John Coltrane and rock musicians such as the Beatles have been the leaders of this movement. Mr. Wyatt will also discuss his new book, Sonny Rollins: Meditating on a Riff, which explores the jazz legend’s journey into spirituality and even occultism.
