Description

George Munkenbeck, Islip Town Historian, visits the library to discuss the contribution of the United States Colored Troops (USCT) to the Union victory in the Civil War.  At least five men from the Town of Islip served in the USCT and two of those lost their lives in service to this nation.  Come and learn about their service and this almost forgotten organization.  For additional information please contact the library or visit our website.
