Description

Assistant Curator of the Long Island Museum Jonathan Olly visits the library to discuss this fascinating period in history in America and Long Island.  From New York City in the west to the coastal villages of the North and South Forks, prohibition affected nearly everyone living on Long Island from 1920 to 1933.  Learn about the "noble experiment" to limit alcohol consumption and then its eventual ban.  For additional information please contact the library or visit our website.
