Description

Gallery North is pleased to present Miradas, an exhibition about Looks, Views, and Vignettes, of the life and people of Mexico and Latin America.

Documented by American photographer Scott Brennan, this body of work tells the story of the rise of social movements and the processes of territory defense in rural and indigenous regions of Latin America. Brennan has been drawn to this population, in this part of the world, passionately photographing it since 2003.  In 2005, he studied for a Master of Fine Arts at the London College of Communication under renowned photojournalists Patrick Sutherland and Paul Lowe. Since 2010 Brennan has made his home in Mexico.

Scott Brennan’s photography has appeared in numerous publications and he has worked with various organizations including The New York Times, Time Magazine, Amnesty International, and the BBC. His work has been exhibited in international galleries including those in New York, Mexico City, La Paz, Bolivia, and London.
