Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Walk from Lakeland County Park up and over the Ronkonkoma Moraine to Hidden Pond Park and back; meet at Lakeland Park parking lot; from L.I.E. Exit 58, go south on Old Nichols Rd. to Johnson Ave., left to park; or Exit 59 south on Ocean Ave. to Johnson, right to park; rain or snow cancels; bring water.
