Description

(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a storytelling show that features true stories - with a twist - told live, without notes, by people from all walks of life. Every story is true, but 3 of them include subtle, carefully-crafted little lies. The audience gets to question the storytellers, then votes for the person they think told their story completely straight. There are prizes involved, if you can believe a thing like that.

The show also features some improvised music and songs to set up each stage of the game, written by show host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff and composer Wells Hanley. We serve delicious coffee press coffee, tea and water included in the ticket price. Jude Treder-Wolff is a storyteller, comic and singer/songwriter who has been featured on RISK! Mortified, The Armando Diaz Experience at The Magnet Theater in NYC, Now You're Talking, Take Two Storytelling, Talk Therapy and many other storytelling shows in the New York area. She created (mostly) TRUE THINGS in 2014 and it has grown into a regular event on Long Island with performances in NYC and around the country.

Stories in this show by:

Martha Kahan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and storyteller

Bob Brader, award-winning actor and writer. www.bobbrader.com

Ira Kalina, Long Island novelist and psychologist

Toni Illuminata, an award-winning actor, director and producer who has performed in and directed numerous productions on Long Island.
