More than 59,000 American nurses served in the Army Nurse Corps during WW ll. Thirty thousand of them volunteered to serve at frontline hospitals in overseas war zones, enduring the same horrific conditions as the troops they followed. The presentation will also include film clips of interviews with a number of these heroic women recounting their experiences in the field, as prisoners of war, and in their post-war home coming.
