Thrill seekers wanted! Up to 92 brave volunteer “Edgers” will get to rappel 170 feet down the side of the Tower building at Nassau Community College on October 20th to help at-risk children, families, and seniors on Long Island & NYC. To be able to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Edgers aim to raise $1,000 for charity to secure their rappelling spot.
Edgers can participate as individuals or create teams, and corporate groups can even “Toss Their Boss” Over the Edge.
Fundraising proceeds benefit EAC Network’s programs that empower, assist, and care for local children who have been abused or who are in foster care, individuals battling addiction or mental illness, seniors needing supportive services like Meals on Wheels, and more.
Sponsorship and recognition opportunities are also available, ranging from just $250-$25,000. Current sponsors include Nassau Community College, M&T Bank, Nawrocki Smith, LLP, PSEG Long Island, WB Mason, NAI Long Island, Redfin, Arizona, and Zorn’s of Bethpage.
Edgers of note include Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, and President & CEO of Zorn’s of Bethpage, Merrill Zorn.
