The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a frost advisory, which is in effect from 3 am to 9 am EDT Monday. * Temperatures...low to mid 30s. * Timing...late Sunday night and early Monday morning. * Impacts...frost will harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A frost advisory means that frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor plants should be protected. , "Special Statement" ...Gusty winds today... Northwest winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 40 mph today. Some wind gusts could reach up to 45 mph. With trees still partially to full foliage, these higher wind gusts could take down some tree limbs or small trees and hence may cause some power outages. Description

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation hosts our second annual fundraising dog walk and picnic, “PAWS IN THE PARK”, on Saturday, May 19th from 11am3pm in Red Creek Park, 102 Old Riverhead Rd. West, Hampton Bays, NY 11946 (directly across from the shelter).

All are welcome to come for a family day of fun, shopping, dancing, doggie fashion show and lots of prizes and goodie bags. Live music performed by Hamptons’ favorite, New Life Crisis, food supplied by food trucks and local vendors for shopping. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for picnicking.  Join local and handcrafted vendors and face painters for a day of family fun!  Food vendors include Noah’s on the Road and Whole Le Crepe. 

Dog walking participants in the 1-mile dog walk are encouraged to pre-register online at www.southamptonanimalshelter.org and click on the “Paws in the Park” logo for entrance fees and fundraising details. Call 631-728-7387 ext. 237.



Pre-registration is $20 minimum per dog and $25 the day of the event
(10:30 am is early registration on May 19th).

‘PAWS IN THE PARK’ or a vendor who would like a table at the event.

All Donations and sponsorship fees are tax deductible as the shelter is a non-profit organization, (501 C 3)


Dog Rules
Dogs attending must be current on vaccines. Valid proof of Rabies vaccine must accompany the dog attending the event.
